Findings
There is almost bilateral symmetrical areas of restricted diffusion seen in the posterior limb of both internal capsule, adjacent corona radiata and small area on dorsal aspect of the pons on DW images, which is hypointense on ADC map imagesl.A fairly large soft tissue swelling is detected in the bilateral parietal and right occipital scalp region – likely represents Caput succedaneum

Single Voxel Spectroscopy: A single voxel has been placed in the region of right basal ganglia – internal capsule region, right parietal white matter and pons. A large tall peak is seen at 3.55 ppm – represents glycine peak. Small lipid lactate peak is seen in the right parietal white matter at 0.9 and 1.3 ppm.
Diagnosis
Imaging findings are in favor of Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH).
