Findings
Moderate dilatation of the small bowel loops with gases and fluid (distally) is seen diffusely with thinned out walls. No evidence of any obvious bowel thickening or mucosal edema is seen.
No mesenteric fat stranding is seen. No abnormal dilatation is seen proximally.
No appreciably enlarged enhancing mesenteric lymph nodes are seen.
Esophageal hiatus of the diaphragm is widened with superiorly protruding gastroesophageal junction.
The stomach show normal wall thickness. No abnormal dilatation or angulation is seen.
Mesenteric fat density is normal.
Diagnosis
Moderate dilatation of the small bowel loops diffusely.
Fecal loaded large bowel loops from cecum upto the splenic flexure -(H/O Cleansing enema)
Hiatus hernia (gliding)
D/D – Parayltic ileus, Ischemic bowel disease
