Acute infarct in right occulomotor nerve nucleus

Findings
Acute microinfarct (~ 2 mm in size) with restricted diffusion is seen in the location of the right oculomotor nerve nucleus in midbrain.

No neurovascular conflict evident.

Old lacunar infarct in left posteromedial thalamus.

No gross or petechial parenchymal haemorrhage.

No demonstrable space-occupying lesions.

Age-related diffuse cerebral atrophy.
