Findings
The chest cavity of the fetus shows abnormal findings. A solid intrathotracic mass likely representing the right lung is seen . It appears larger than the left lung . The whole lung appears echogenic . Multiple tiny cysts are seen scattered within it. All the cysts seen are subcentimeteric in size ( approximately 2- 3 mm in size ). The left lung shows normal echotexture . The right lung is seen to cause mass effect on left lung and heart .
The heart shows normal four chamber architecture and normal cardiac rhythm.
No definite evidence of systemic arterial supply seen.
Both kidneys appear unremarkable.
Diagnosis
Findings are suggestive of a intrathoracic fetal mass with features as described . Possibility of congenital pulmonary airway malformation (>?type 3) to be considered.
