Findings
- Longitudinal oblique fracture of distal femur metaphysis is seen on medial aspect, with triangular fracture fragment. Fracture is involving growth plate medially. Mild elevation of adjacent periosteum is seen posteriorly. Mild edema of adjacent epiphysis is seen on medial aspect. No involvement of articular surface.
- Bone marrow edema is seen in epiphysis, metaphysis and meta-diaphyseal region of distal femur, predominantly on medial side.
- Edema of growth plate of tibia and fibula is also seen.
- Partial thickness tear of medial collateral ligament is seen, near femoral attachment.
- Mild hemarthrosis is seen.
- Mid fibers of Anterior cruciate ligament appear edematous - partial thickness tear.
Diagnosis
Salter harris injury type II of distal femur with ACL and MCL partial tear.
