Native kidney Renal cell Carcinoma, Post renal transplant

Case Discussion

Patient underwent laproscopic radical nephrectomy and histopathology showed clear cell type Renal adenocarcinoma. Patient was asymptomatic and the Renal mass was incidentally discovered. RCC in the native kidney of transplant patients seem to exhibit many favourable clinical, pathological and outcome features compared with those diagnosed in dialysis?only patients. Acquired cystic kidney disease and dialysis duration were positively associated with development of RCC. The diagnosis if established at an early stage in the majority of cases, leads to favorable patient survivals. A regular yearly abdominal ultrasound screening is suggested for early tumor diagnosis.
