Findings
A heterogeneous T2 hyperintense extraaxial mass with solid & cystic components is seen in the right cerebellopontine angle extending along the intracanalicular & labyrinthine portions of the facial nerve to the geniculate ganglion. It is hypointense in pre-contrast T1 WI with intense but heterogenous enhancement following contrast.
An upward extension of the lesion is also noted into middle cranial fossa through the tegmen tympani giving a dumb-bell like appearance.
Diagnosis
Facial schwannoma with middle & posterior cranial fossa components.
