Right Ankle Joint : Plain
Technique
The ankle joint was examined by an ultrafast MRI in multiple planes by T1 and T2 weighted, as well as STIR sequences.
Findings

The tibiotalar, subtalar, intertarsal and tarso-metatarsal joints show normal space and articular margins with no evidence of intracapsular effusion. The sinus tarsi shows normal signal.

There is no marrow signal abnormality or cortical erosion in the bones of the foot and distal tibia / fibula.

The medial and lateral collateral ligaments, spring ligament and the tibio-fibular ligaments appear normal. The flexor and extensor retinacula are normal.

The flexor, extensor and peroneal tendons show normal calibre and signal.

The Achille's tendon and peritendinous soft tissues are normal. The plantar fascia is normal.

The muscles of the sole of foot show normal signal.

Impression
  • No significant abnormality detected in right ankle joint.
