Technique

CT Scan of Chest carried out on Multi detector CT scanner. IV contrast media was given. Images recorded and evaluated at appropriate window settings.

Findings

Bilateral lungs show normal parenchyma with maintained attenuation and alveolar pattern.

No evidence of collapse, consolidation, ground glass opacifications, calcifications, cavitations or mass lesion in the lung parenchyma. No evidence of interstitial lung disease.

The trachea is central in position and it shows normal wall and a patent lumen. No obstructive lesion is seen in the lumen of the major bronchi. No evidence of bronchiectasis.

No obvious lymphadenopathy is seen in the Mediastinum or the Hilum on both sides.

The major visualised mediastinal vessels appear normal.

No thickening or effusion is seen in the pleura on both sides.

The oesophagus is normal in position.

The thoracic cage and the extrathoracic soft tissues are within normal limits. The visualised osseous structures are unremarkable. No focal lytic/sclerotic lesion or fracture.

Impression
  • CT Scan study of Chest is within normal limits. No significant diagnostic abnormality is detected.
