Technique

Plain HRCT Scan of Chest carried out on Multi detector CT scanner. Images recorded and evaluated at appropriate window settings.

Findings

The visualised lung parenchyma shows normal attenuation and architectural pattern on both sides.

No evidence of air-space opacities, collapse, consolidation, abscess or pulmonary mass lesion. No signs of interstitial lung disease. 

Trachea and bifurcation are normally seen. No bronchial thickening or bronchiectasis is seen.

No evidence of mediastinal or hilar lymphadenopathy. 

Heart shows normal size and shape. 

No evidence of pleural or pericardial effusion. 

The visualised mediastinal vessels show normal course and calibre. 

Bony thoracic cage is normal. No lytic or sclerotic lesion in visualized bones.
